Day 11 - My Experiences With People
To choose today’s I had to break my head and go into what everyone call it as the writer’s block. As my writing days are on a streak I found myself confused and not able to decide the topic. So I thought why not write about people. I find this topic to be very broader concept than just a physicality. It is a soul’s journey to see, experience and learn through a lifetime. Each and every individual is gifted with a wonderful energy that have not been recognized yet. In some we see the goodness and in some we see the badness, but it’s the circumstances that categorize them into something. We often find people judging us or we judging them. Is it right ? I feel it is wrong because we do not understand a person close enough, so why judge anyone ?
I have seen so many people transform to a better person through experience and learning by pursuing theatre. I am grateful forever to have witnessed first hand that my life transformed into a meaningful journey. Over the last 3 years into theatre I have befriended many people and each one of them possess the power to be something bigger than themselves. I have seen people who were scared or hesitant to talk to anyone change for good. I have seen people who had depression transform into a joyful person. There is no end to how theatre makes a person give meaning to his life. I would like to highlight about theatre since it brought the best in me. Nowhere else have I seen such a magnificent change at such intensity over a period of time.
I have seen some people who are jealous of my success. I have started to ignore these because it is purely the lack of their wishes not coming true. I have seen people criticizing my work because it was meaningless, senseless and pointless. But only I can know the pain that goes through making a film, a play, performing or doing something Artistic. It’s easier to judge than do it for yourself and when I ask them do it they blame it back on me.
There have been times when people do not respect your work and just treat you like you are a free commodity. Since then I have stopped being a free Artist. We break our heads, research, meet new people, expand our horizon of understanding of things and this is how we are treated? It’s a shame to see such a thing happen it is not that you are not getting paid, it’s just that they need to understand what we are going through being an Artist.
I have seen many people with the act of doing good they are spying on you, listening to you but they go and talk about you behind your back. There are family members who talk behind my back and when we meet show have high regards for. I find all these funny, why people do what they do. It is just the soul’s journey we all have to go through these experiences with one or the other person in order to know what life leads us to. We have a long way to go and lead our soul to evolve better than yesterday.
