Day 3 - Food For Thought
Today we celebrate World Theatre Day, but it is unfortunate to see the world in crisis as the pandemic COVID19 is separating and tearing us apart with its fury. I still remember all the celebration we did with our theatre friends on this day to meet, have lunch / dinner together, eat ice cream, go out on a long drive, just discuss about theatre and more, it made us more together, a more of SOCIAL NON-DISTANCING.
It has been pretty silent out here and it’s been more than 2 weeks since I heard vehicle movements. Today I heard a vehicle pass by in my street and I was really happy and excited, it almost felt like I saw human race again. I started to love nature, animals and birds more than my own race, the chirping sound of birds in the morning, the serene silence is what excites me the most, makes me going through this excruciating process of staying indoors in isolation a smooth way.
I have started to appreciate food even more. I enjoy and savor each and every bite I take, what a wonderful feeling that is. Give it a try. Having food during a crisis is very important to keep you healthy and fit. You might feel lazy to eat your food because of all the time you have got but missing out on meals or delayed eating will only cause more health problems. Given the situation around us, we do not want to be going to the hospital. So eating right food, homemade food and fruits is very important.
Cook as much as possible instead of ordering out. This way you can stop the delivery guys from coming at your doorstep and keep them at bay from spreading disease, you get to eat proper food. Fruits and nuts are good for eating in between, avoiding junk food would be the advise since it will help you restrict any chances of falling sick.
Hydration is good, infact very good. Consuming 4-5 liters of water in a day is necessary to beat the heat. I carry a 1 liter bottle of water as my pet around the house to keep myself hydrated.
The choice of food decides the kind of health you will have. Of course this is in tandem with regular workouts.
