Day 2 - Viva La Familia ( Long Live the Family)
"Nothing can dim the light which shines from within."
- Maya Angelou
This is a beautiful picture of flowers from my Green House that I water everyday :)
Over the last few weeks since the pandemic, I started spending more time with family, cancelling all my shows, events and pausing ongoing projects. Family is everything and every time family is your support. I have been spending family time by watching movies together, playing monopoly together and doing live workout sessions sometimes.
I see most of my friends and cousins tell me that they are playing cards, doing art together like painting, learning cooking, doing chores especially washing clothes since maids are not allowed to come at many house. It delights me to know that many housewives and mom’s have been having a relaxed time. Does this mean that they have finally got that break / vacation from or even better retirement from house duties.
I was enraged today to see couple in my street going for an evening walk and talking to my neighbors saying, "It’s okay, we got bored and we wanted to take a stroll around." I mean how can this be ? What’s more disappointing was when my dad took his bike and went out to meet his friend. I was doing my evening cult live session so I was not aware. I question everyone in my family, why they let him out and no one had a proper response to it. When he came I asked him why he went out and he tells me “Okay, I won’t go from tomorrow.” was his answer, he smiles at me and enters the house. It was so casual and careless not for me but for the ongoing events. It was disheartening to see your own family member not taking things seriously. Having been taught about values and moral system from childhood this did not mean anything.
It’s not because he disrespects the lockdown, he watches news regularly on the television and keeps himself updated. I feel it’s just the isolation taking over his mind. It’s tough times but we need to be tougher. Staying together and staying strong by empowering each other and not giving up on each other is the need of the hour. It’s very important at this point of time as things go, being together and fighting this as a team, a family that is united can fight back this villain.
VIVA LA FAMILIA!
Stage 3.....need to be at home....👍
